Mail Order Plant Delivery

We are a working nursery and some of our plants – mainly perennials – may be supplied in P9 (9 cm) pots. This is down to a backlog during this time of year which inevitably occurs on our potting machine. These plants will be fully rooted into the pot and able to be planted out although will need protection from cold and frost or could be kept in a greenhouse or similar until weather conditions are suitable.

It may be at times that we are unable to fulfil your complete order due to the nature of our business and the growing seasons. In this case we will supply all plants available and your carriage charges will be amended as appropriate. Any plants not supplied can be put on a back –order if so wished and despatched at a later date should you wish. Our mail order department will contact you if this is the case.

COST OF DELIVERY

£13.00 for up to 10 kilos and approximately 60p per additional kilo thereafter

This charge includes all picking of plants, packing materials and time. We will always contact you to confirm the charge if there is a difference from that shown on the website.

If you are ordering from outside the or highlands and islands, then of course these charges may vary but we will contact you and confirm the charge before we send your goods.
Statues and garden furniture can also be sent out but we like to give individual quotes for these items so will contact you once the order to arrange shipping and transportation costs.
Large orders & statues are sent out via pallett & smaller orders are boxed. The majority of our orders are sent to the UK and Europe although we are able to deliver Worldwide depending upon certification. Our Plants by Mail Order service is available Worldwide, although as expected, the vast majority of our orders are to the UK and Europe.
We try to make sure that you have the minimum of hassle when ordering plants or other items from us and have worked closely with our delivery partner to ensure that your orders arrive in time and in good condition.
Nothing leaves our nursery without first being checked by our Nursery Manager - Joanne McCullock. We try and use recycled packaging products where possible and all plants are sent in strong cardboard boxes.
Any problems with goods delivered are dealt with swiftly by our mail order department and they will chase couriers and query deliveries on your behalf. If in the unlikely event that you have a complaint about any of the items you receive then we ask that you

Phone Helen on 01931 712 404 to inform us that you have a problem within 24 hours of reciept of parcel.
Put your complaint in writing/or email and send us pictures within 7 days of notifying us of your complaint.
If you are unable to open the box when the delivery driver is there, then please sign for the box as unchecked as if there is any damage to the plants it is easier for us to make a complaint to the carrier company on your behalf.
We operate a next day delivery service where possible, Monday through Thursday - although at busy times this may not be possible. We can deliver at the weekends but there is a surcharge charged by the courier.

Our plant mail order service resumes on Monday 5^th September. If you do have a specific date which you really need your plant by then please write that date in the delivery notification and we will try to meet your requirements. We will be working hard behind the scenes to get the waiting orders out but for the next couple of weeks or so we do envisage a slight delay.
