Working with nature with Ian Gregg and Peter Stott

Description:

When Ian Gregg obe and his wife Jane began gardening at Grange Farm more than 20 years ago, on land adjacent to the River Lowther, they were keen to create a haven for wildlife. Find out how they went about it – and pick up tips on managing an organic garden – when Ian presents an illustrated talk as guest speaker at Larch Cottage Nurseries. The Greggs started with a small cottage garden and the remains of an old orchard, to which they have added wild flowers, ponds, a small woodland area and kitchen garden. ‘It has been a joy to see these become established and attract a variety of animals, insects and birds,’ says Ian, whose early inspiration came from conservationist Chris Baines.
